Counselling

Angela (Angie) McColl is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She has spent 30 years working with people who have experienced trauma and emotional pain. Over this time, Angie has increased her therapeutic capacity through attaining competencies in different counselling modalities. She is passionate about expressive therapies, narrative therapy, trauma-informed counselling and art therapies.

Angie’s fields of interest include responding to trauma, particularly with those impacted by the trauma of family and domestic violence, and sexual assault. Angie has advanced knowledge in developing and coaching life skills, including expanding emotional intelligence, improving techniques for self-growth and self-compassion.

Angie’s services are provided in a safe, relaxed space. An enhancement to individual counselling sessions are the therapeutic and educational group-based programmes that are available to support women and children with their own healing.

The group programmes include the Seechange group, for women who have experienced domestic violence; Ripples group for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and Wrapped in Angels group for children and young women who have experienced trauma.
